A Mess

Watercolor and gel pen.

I was listening to Caoimhin O Raghallaigh (Irish fiddler) when I painted this, just spontaneously painting. (I usually do sketches and plan everything out ahead of time, so it was exciting to just paint.)

The only problem is, the song would keep changing and mess up my vibe. And then this jig came on and made me do those splashes. Plus some of the time I was using bad technique, like not enough water on my brush.

So I used gel pens to try and fix it up a little. And I like the way everything turned out.
